Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy
(PRP)
Achieve your results from within.
What if we told you that one of the best skin rejuvenation ingredients was within your own body? Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection treatments are some of the fastest-growing skin and scalp rejuvenation treatments available, using the healing properties your body already naturally produces.
PRP is rich in growth factors that wake up the repair process in the areas treated. This stimulates cell regeneration which can treat hair loss, sun damage, skin pigmentation, wrinkles & fine lines, scars and under-eye dark circles.
When this treatment is applied to the face, often referred to as a “Vampire Facial”, it will stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity and firmness, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and pigmentation irregularities.
As a hair loss treatment, PRP is becoming increasing popular at treating male and female pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) and other conditions, like alopecia areata. You can read more about how this works in our PRP FAQ section.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is used for various medical and cosmetic purposes.
We use your own blood: which is spun to isolate your platelets and plasma from the rest of your blood. Plasma is the liquid part of our blood that carries blood cells, and platelets are a type of cell in your blood that helps clot and it also helps you heal. Platelet-rich plasma contains a high concentration of growth factors and other healing properties, and all of this is known to increase cell & tissue regeneration, stimulating collagen & elastin production.

PRP starts with your a small amount of your own blood, which is drawn usually from your arm. The collected blood is then placed in a centrifuge, allowing us to isolate the platelet-rich plasma — which contains the growth and healing factors we’re looking for.
Through microneedling or small injections, the PRP will be applied topically (through tiny, controlled micro-injuries made to your skin) or injected directly into specific areas — depending on what we’re trying to achieve. Injections are typically for the hair restoration application of PRP.

As a hair loss treatment, PRP is injected directly into the areas on the scalp or hairline where you’re experiencing hair loss or thinning. This stimulates tissue regeneration and dormant hair follicles, encourging them to enter the active growth phase (anagen phase). Typically you will need multiple treatments to see results, but this process leads to thicker and more robust hair. Because PRP also increases blood circulation to the scalp, it can also improve the health and vitality of the follicles.

As a facial treatment, PRP is absorbed into your skin through microneedling (tiny controlled micro-injuries). PRP works by improving collagen and elastin production, which is essential for skin elasticity and firmness. You’ll notice an improvement in skin texture, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars. It can also help to reduce unwanted pigmentation changes, such as age spots or melasma.

Results vary between individuals.
As a facial treatment, multiple sessions are often recommended for optimal results, but you should see improvements after a few weeks, with results continuing to develop over several months. We often see clients come in for a top up very 3-5 months.
For hair loss, it is recommended to do one session every four to six weeks, for a total of three sessions to start. Results from PRP therapy for hair loss are gradual and become noticeable over several months. Patients often report thicker, healthier hair and a reduction in hair shedding.
Results are typically seen within six months after the first treatment.
